The FCHS Class of 74 Scholarship Campaign

Let’s create a legacy for the Class of 74′

After consulting with the Principal and teachers, it has been unanimously agreed that providing a scholarship would be the most impactful gift for the school. While the school has access to various programs for everyday materials, covering college expenses remains challenging. Even though SCCC offers tuition-free education for county residents, costs are still associated with books, materials, and other non-tuition expenses that can be a burden.

We have started a Class of  74′ Scholarship fund. Once we achieve $10,000, it will become self-sustaining. A few of these scholarships are currently available to students. The principal amount never gets touched, and scholarships are given yearly. We can be as involved as we like in the selection process or have an administrator handle everything for us.

This gets us well on our way to creating a great program.

Contributions to this scholarship are fully tax deductible.

All contributions will be kept confidential.

1st Scholarship award chosen

After careful review, the committee has selected Evyonna Gillard of South Fallsburg as the recipient of this year’s $500 scholarship award.

Evyonna is passionate about a future in the Baking and Pastry Arts industry. She completed the Culinary Arts program at Sullivan BOCES during both her junior and senior years and has applied to the Culinary Institute of America and Sullivan County Community College to further her studies. In her words:

“I hope the school will equip me with better skills. I have had a passion for baking since I had watched the movie The Princess and the Frog — it perfectly represented who I was. I would eventually like to own a bakery that is either near or in Sullivan County because I’d like to share sweets with the community I grew up in.”

Evyonna is also a dedicated member of her school community, having participated in Key Club (2019–present), the National Honor Society (2020–present), Art Club (2021–present), and the Ecology Club (2021–present
